Grainger Hines Grainger Hines has been cast in the FX Network's hit show "NIP/TUCK." Grainger has been cast as Dr. Harland Frank, a plastic surgeon in Las Vegas who runs a 24 hour clinic. The title of the episode is "Giselle Moreau & Legend Chandler." It is a Shephard/Robin Co./ Warner Bros. production. The writers are Lyn Greene & Richie Levine and it will be directed by Lyn Greene. It will air as the final episode of season 5.

Grainger recently completed a very successful run of the play Hedda Gabler at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles. The play opened in late April and completed its run on May 25, 2008. Grainger played Judge Brack. Joining Grainger in the cast were Gillian Brashear as Thea Elvested, Ellen Gerstein as Berta, John Livingston as Lovborg, Blake Robbins as Tessman, Deborah Van Valkenburgh as Aunt Julie Tessman and Dina Rosemeier in the title role of Hedda Gabler.

In April Grainger appeared in the CBS hit series GHOST WHISPERER as Detective Pete Richardson. Other appearances this past year in episodic television in 2007 and 2008 are NBC's "Las Vegas" and on TNT, "Saving Grace" with Holly Hunter.

Grainger HinesGrainger is currently filming the sequel to the 2005 indie hit, WAITING. The film is tentatively titled STILL WAITING and was written by Rob McKittrick and is being directed by Jeff Balis. This film will be released by Lion's Gate Films in 2008.

Hines is signed to star in the Brazilian thriller WINK. Hines will portray the character of Steven Chapman. The film, scheduled for late fall 2007, will be directed by Odorico Mendes and will shoot in São Paulo, Brazil. WINK is the second film that Hines has made with Mendes. The first was DISCRETION ASSURED, a Brazilian-American co-production that starred Michael York, Hines, Jennifer O'Neill and Dee Wallace Stone. Hines is in discussion to star in two additional features for Mendes titled AIR POWERED CAR and TIGER ON THE LOOSE. These films would also shoot entirely in Brazil.

Grainger is also one of the producers on SOLITARY BIRDS, an action/romance written by Ron Dobson. The film will shoot entirely in Mexico and will have an international cast and crew. Alec Baldwin has signed on to play the lead role of Harry Cainne. Also staring in the film is Kate del Castillo. Hines will portray DEA agent O’Reilly. Carlos Bolado will direct the film, scheduled for production in 2008.

HOLLYWOOD WIZARD FILMS has picked up the rights to distribute the feature film THE MILL. Grainger Hines directed the thriller/horror pic, which was shot in North Carolina. THE MILL was produced by Ralph Singleton, producer of such hits as CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, MURDER AT 1600 and BECAUSE OF THE WINN DIXIE. One of the film’s stars is  Grainger's son,  Austin Hines.

A project that is in early development but scheduled for 2008 is THY WILL BE DONE. This is a film that Hines wrote based loosely on events that happened in Abbeville, SC in the 1860's. Although based on events that happened in the past it is a contemporary story about reincarnation described as a gothic twilight zone. The film is being produced by Deborah Moore and Hines and will film in Abbeville, SC, Greenwood, SC and Los Angeles, CA.

Hines is in discussions with Bess Parks, Artistic Director at Greenwood Community Theatre, to return to his hometown of Greenwood, South Carolina to appear in the GCT production of Laddy Sartin's "Catfish Moon" in September.
